Boy Scouts of America and Scouts for Equality
I was a Boy Scout on the front lines. As a member of the LGBT+ Community, I knew coming out would end with me being removed from my troop, and from the organization as a whole. I had already faced years of ridicule from my troop for what they suspected, and I knew confirming it would lead to even more misery in the then climate of the organization. So when I was in sixth grade, I joined the fight, and became the loadstar of equality for the Bay-Lakes Council.
